As hilarious as a freakishly oversized metallic spiral wang is, I'm not sure I could write any sort of fanfic like that.

It could do very well for itself; after all, TTGL is popular and is basically the same thing.

Actually, since Turians just have the shiny exterior plating to block radiation, I would presume that their wangs are just kept behind the plating while not in use.

Your comment made me think about this and so I shall make you think about it too.

Yeah, the turians have a skin plates with a high metal content. Not metallic bones.

Also fun bits: Your doctor in ME2 says that turian and human tissues can cause allergic reactions to each other, if ingested. "So try not to, ahem, ingest."

He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Right, because turians and quarians have mirror-image proteins compared to humans, or something.

Although I'm mildly curious about playing a male shepherd and romancing Talia. Mostly because I'm not sure how that even works if she can't take off her suit without getting a massive infection everywhere in her body at once and dying a horrible, blistering pus-filled death.

I don't even hate women enough to want that to happen...

Actually, no. She can take off her suit--they do have an immune system, just weakened. And they can acclimate through repeated exposure.

Their immune system responds to most stuff like an allergic reaction--sinus gunk, sore throat, coughing, often a fever. Not pleasant by any means, but not insta-death. But some nasty stuff -can- kill them, so the suits are way more expedient than trying to acclimate to every place they run into.

So on The Romance Scene, she shows up and says she's taken, like, three different immune-system boosters to help fortify herself for the fallout.

The most sought after woman in that series is the one whose face you cant see.

Michael Jackson, what the hell.

Garrus has the same hair as Phoenix Wright, that's why I like him.

I haven't played past 1 so I can't comment on the other females in those games. Also, I play a Female Shepherd so I couldn't tell you how Ashley acts in a romance. I can say that perhaps it was accidental on Bioware's part, but Liara comes off as kind of desperate and lonely. I mean, she threw herself at me after the second time I spoke to her off-mission. Either she has space STDs or she's clueless (although being clueless makes sense considering how she acts a lot of the time. She's endearing, but I don't find myself being attracted to her in any way).

Actually if you just want to have positive interactions with politicians, I recommend NOT saving the council. I didn't, and found that the replacement councilors were way more interesting than the originals. You get a Salarian woman, an Asari who isn't especially serene, and a mavericky turian. They basically admit to you that the original council was a bag of dicks, as well.

A few observations on Hardcore mode:

-You know what sucks? Having your biotics shut off and your weapon overheat because the bad guys tag-teamed you.

-When you get out of the Mako, the bad guys will ignore you completely and keep firing at it. So unless you want to burn a bunch of omnigel and sit for an hour for your shields to recharge, stay in the tractor.

-There is no point during the entire driving portion of Noveria where the game will consider you "not in combat" and allow you to save. Combine with the last part for extra frustration.

-They nerfed my sniper shotgun. In lower difficulty settings, if you zoom in and put the crosshairs on something, the spread of your shotgun will mostly hit what you're aiming at, even if you can't see it. Not so in harder difficulties, I'm buying a pistol when I get back to the Normandy.

OOh, finally, info on the final ME3 DLC. Both Singleplayer and Multiplayer.

Multiplayer gives several new classes, including a Krogan with a bigass hammer.

This has my approval.

Nitronic Rush is a really funny free game from a team at Digipen. The focus it takes, plus awesome tron-esque themes and electronica background music makes it really cool.

So there's this new Freespace-style game called Strike Suit Zero, where one of the fighters is a Robotech-style transforming mech. I had some fun playing it, but the interface is bad and the difficulty is kind of nuts. I've gotten as far as a mission where you have to protect a frigate from a carrier by yourself. Unfortunately, the carrier has antiship guns as well as at least forty fighters, and the frigate is already badly damaged. And getting in between capital ships exchanging beam weapon fire fucking kills you.

It looks fun, but the fact that downloading it requires downloading a torrent program makes me feel like this is a slick Russian virus to turn my computer into a zombie.

Liara is explicitly supposed to be clueless. Not only is she archetypically the naive scientist, but it's heavily implied that everyone was too terrified of her parents to mack on her.

If you bang Tali in Mass Effect 3, they let you see her face. It's incredibly disappointing. She just looks like a generic supermodel, disturbingly similar to Miranda, and not really obviously nonhuman or non-white in any way.

Ah, lame. That takes away a lot of her appeal if she's just a generic white pretty girl.

I can say one thing: Kaiden is not getting any from my version of !female shepherd. He's a nice guy, and nice guys don't get laid.

They actually cheaped out and took a generic supermodel picture as her face. Like so:
Image
But please, don't let that deter you from romancing Tali. She's adorable, in her way.

Kaiden grows some teeth after a while. I need to do a playthrough where he gets romanced, just to pick up his loyalty powers.

In ME2, Garrus loosens up quite a bit.

Liara gets less sheltered and academic.

Tali gets more confident.

Wrex loosens up and starts joking more. In ME3, he's just about exuberant--mainly because you're working on curing the genophage. He's really sort of dour in ME1.

lmao, that's fucking hilarious. I like how they try to simulate the fact that Tali only has 3 fingers by adding a shadow effect.

I guess it's good to see Wrex loosen up, but I saw a lot of myself in Wrex. The comment "Well, there was that time the Salarians tried to make us extinct. that was fun" is a lot like things I say when I'm depressed.

Then again, if I ruled a planet and got attention from females without having to resort to douchebaggery then I'd probably be in a pretty good mood too.

Jack has enough pessimism to make up for it.

And then there's Javik, in ME3...

Are they big hulking monsters like Wrex? Because without that, I don't quite feel the kinship.

EDiT: If I had the cash and was going to Gencon, I'd do a Wrex cosplay. That would be the cat's tits.
